Emergency Cooler (EC)- The Official Garage Mascot

I am a 1986 vintage "Playmate" by Igloo personal cooler. I can fit about a 12-pack of cans or bottles. I am generally the first item packed (with frosty's) on a road trip. That way, when we get to our destination, there is no struggle or panic on were or who will go out and get beer. I am ready to go. I am not afraid of any trunk, trailer, truck-bed, boat or airplane in the universe. 

I have been so many places that I actually kick-ass on the "Roaming Gnome" from Travelocity. 

In fact, if I ever get that little fuzzy bastard near me, I am going to open a can of whoop-ass on him, the little fuzzy foreigner. Crickey!

It's the Mannix Dart! The Mannix TV show aired from 1967 to 1975. It was a 60 minute action, detective series on CBS that began with Joe Mannix (Mike Connors) working for an agency called, "Intertect" and evolved into his opening his own agency. Regardless, every episode involved Joe Mannix fighting, shooting, and car chasing his way through his dangerous cases. While pretty normal by today's standards, Mannix was one of the most violent shows of its day! This 69 Dart powered by  340 and customized by George Barris appeared on the second season (68-69) and the third season (69-70). There is only one 69 model; this is it being photo'd at the 2009 All Chrysler Nationals for a major Mopar Magazine. The owner is calling in for EC support on the Dart's on board "car phone".

Colin knows how to make an off-road Jeep. He also know how to park on his buddies Jeep without scratching it and without spilling EC. All Chrylser Nationals - July 2009.

Smoke Show Contest

Smoke Show specialist and casual aircraft mechanic/stunt pilot "Captain" Chris S. shows us how to do a Smoke Show in front of over 2000 way over-buzzed and over-sexed (he came on right after the bikini contest) Mopar fanatics. Chris is good at this becasue he has tried this with small aircraft and while fun and dangerous all at the same time, the "354 Hemi powered push button 727 57 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer with a D-500 package appearing in Inca Gold" is so much better.

This (photo below) is Ishmael Stolzfus, our local Amish guide. He spent the    

weekend with us a "technical advisor". He drank a lot of Yeung Ling Beer supplied by EC, got some tattoos and ended up at Hooters. "Ish" is now MIA.....his where abouts are unknown and he does not know how to use a phone.

  After putting on some crappy tires, buckle EC into the front seat of the 57 Dodge.

Next, get into the patented Carlisle Events "Smoke Show" stall. Chris is comfortable and determined.

Emergency Cooler is understandably nervous...

Apply pressure with both feet, one to the right pedal, and one to the left...the brakes in front hold and the rear ones let go..SMOKE! and it is loud and sounds oh so good..

I am all done now and driving  by some fans. Lots of smoke is still in the cabin of the 57 Dodge.

Here is EC and Captain Chris. Thanks for not putting EC in the trunk. That would have gotten ugly. Thanks Chris! When are we going flying!
